A downloadable game for Windows
I make the rope the main character. Unknot! is a physics puzzle inspired by the math of knot theory. In a calm, minimal look, you drag to tidy tangled rope and feel weight, friction, and tension. The play uses simple shape ideas: you do not cut the rope, you only change its shape to see if it can be untied, and you pick up some easy math as you go. You set the pace and difficulty, from relaxed play to real challenge.

Note on Experimental Game Showcase: I moved the download from Dropbox to itch because some browsers/antivirus tools can falsely flag fresh, unsigned .exe files on generic file hosts. The itch app and reputation system reduce these false warnings and make updates smoother.

Windows SmartScreen Notice
Because this is a newly released indie game, Windows may show a “Windows protected your PC / Unrecognized app” message the first time you launch it. This is a common reputation warning for new, unsigned apps and does not mean the game contains a virus.
How to launch
- Double-click
Game.exe(or run via the itch app). - If the blue SmartScreen dialog appears, click More info → Run anyway.
- If Windows shows “This file came from another computer” in the file’s Properties, tick Unblock → Apply.
Recommended
- Install and run through the itch app for smoother downloads and fewer browser warnings.
